Composed of a broad range of highly qualified professionals in the fields of agriculture, ecology, environmental studies, agricultural biotechnology, film and technology, construction, cyber security, education, manufacturing and other industries such as communication, the Center will act as a portal through which to identify, attract, and import new technologies and processes that place a high emphasis on innovation.
ICIT aims to connect international companies owning new innovative products, equipment, and methods to Chinese entrepreneurs, investors, manufacturers/developers, permitting agencies, and markets. Through innovation and creative adaptation, these connections are designed to provide seamless and easy access for foreign companies into the Chinese marketplace.
Process for Participation in theĀ ICIT
The process for a company to develop potential partnerships with business entities in China through ICIT is straightforward. Companies will contact ICIT and provide information about their innovative products, services or systems intended for the Chinese market. Companies or individuals will then be asked to fully describe their project or service, including providing tangible evidence of their commitment to innovation and products that ensure environmental responsibility and sustainability. Evidence that the products, services or systems can be adapted, replicated and exported to China in a cost-effective way will also be requested. Dr. Alan Brown will serve as the US-based point of contact for the distribution of this information. Once the product, service or system has been described fully, an assessment will be made of the potential for successful partnerships with existing high quality Chinese based companies seeking to import and adapt US-based innovations. If potentially serious and mutually beneficial partnership(s) are identified, ICIT will arrange a meeting in China for the US-based company to make a more detailed in-person proposal to one or more highly interested entities. A negotiated fee and approved expense money for brokering these meetings will be requested.
If both parties agree to move forward with a partnership, ICIT will assist with the development of a contractual partnership agreement that will address all appropriate issues of transfer, adaptation, and development, fees, commissions and the protection of intellectual properties.
